Characterized by dramatic Turner-esque vistas, and inspired by the emotive Cumberland and Scottish Border countryside in which I have lived, I seek to create paintings that capture the power and atmosphere of places, rather than replicate actual views.
In this way, I hope to evoke an emotional connection... one that holds personal meaning to every viewer.
